Feeling
Just sitting. Pondering. Good weather to do that lately. Mostly indoors, but a few minutes spared for outdoors. Wafting breeze. Soft – not warm or cool. Just right. Blue skies, too. Very few clouds and those are fluffy cotton balls. Nothing alerting us of deteriorating weather. This is early fall. Kids back in school. Tempo has picked up. People scurrying to and from errands and work. Commuting, too.
Pondering puts bits and pieces of thoughts with others. Different
ideas are born. Some are light, even airy. Some are heavy, dark. Ominous. And
with shades come feelings.
Sensing and thinking are two different things. Logic and
facts on the one hand mix with feelings, emotions on the other. The emotions
are sometimes foreboding. Fear, and worry creep in. Feelings rise and fall. What
do we do with these feelings? Anything? Or are they kept as companion shadows
that warn us of possible negatives?
Being realistic causes us to think in a different manner. We
look for possibilities. Yes, some of those are negatives and we conjure
solutions to use if negatives actually appear. In that way we are ready for
many outcomes. Hoping for positives, we often still earn negatives. It comes
with the territory of our struggles with life.
No matter the age we get both good and bad. With age we are
more prepared for either and anticipate actions. We worry less. Yes, there is
bad news we prepare for; not always, but most of the time. We are less
surprised at odd turns of events. We are used to this based on much experience.
When young, we were not experienced, not prepared. Unknowing, really.
Feelings – both good and bad – are part of our days. We would
be bored if our feelings and happenings were always good and the same. Very bored.
Difference is good. It makes us feel and think. It creates opportunities. How well
we respond helps outcomes turn out well or not.
Pondering. It is good. Takes time, but it is time well used.
Beware the silent person thinking thoughts. They are most likely good. Productive.
Helpful, even.
Yes. We need to ponder, to feel. To be aware of life’s
possibilities we need to feel. Every day. Best we do this eagerly. So much more
worthwhile, I think.
