Crazy

I am not alone. Millions feel as I do, probably tens of millions. And for the same reason.

Trump. An evil person with self as center. Not family. Not friends. Not a neighborhood and town. Certainly not the nation. The man cares very little if anything for others. It is all about his sense of self, power, wealth and influence.

Using that standard, we are all influencers. From the very smallest of actions, we can make huge differences. The issue will always be, for whose benefit. And for what reason?

My compatriots are generally woke. We care about others. We yearn for our nation and its many villages, towns, cities and neighborhoods to breathe free and creatively for the good of others. Each of us matter whether rich or poor, educated or not. Each of us has a mind and ideas. Sharing life with one another, we shape our communities. Together we do this. Vocal or silent, we do this. Sometimes it is only a visible situation that moves us to action.

How do we make a difference? We talk. We read. We do our jobs to make a living. We purposefully make a positive difference each day. Some of us write. Some teach. Many serve and protect others in their careers alone. But all of us acting alone or in concert make a difference.

Arts are magic, too. Music. Plays and films. Acting. Standup comedy. Artists doing their thing and making our minds leap about and think fresh ideas. We are more whole than we realize. We are more creative than we think we are.  Driving home from the concert or play/movie, we jump to fresh conclusions, realizing there is so much more to life.

And to our relationships. Even the people we do not relate to but vote for, accomplish team acts together, wrestle with meanings too complex for one brain to comprehend. Yes, we are led, prodded and pushed to new dimensions of understanding. Arts do this for us.

My bedrock understanding of life centers on others, inclusion, equity and diversity. These are value structures I live every day, if not perfectly. But they guide me. They inform me of problems. Red flags, really.

In America we provide due process for everyone within our borders whether citizen or guest. We prove the facts and act accordingly. They are not arrested, detained, imprisoned or ejected from our nation without plenty of time and process to understand the situation completely and defend against any and all accusations.

We respect one another. We rely on others and support them as well. We know we are not complete among ourselves and can always use more inputs, ideas. America is the sum of all its parts, not just parts of some. We hold our government and its employees to that standard as well. The president is included in that accountability. And us as voters, too.

What to do? Are you kidding? There is much to do and all legal. We merely need to act on this to take control of our nation from the bad guys.

Just do it.
